macOS Recovery makes it easy to reinstall the Mac operating system, even if you need to erase your startup disk first. All you need is a connection to the Internet. If a wireless network is available, you can choose it from the Wi-Fi menu , which is also available in macOS Recovery.
Apple’s OS X 10.7 software is currently a download only. But what if your Mac refuses to boot one morning? How do you get Mac Lion roaring again without access to the Mac App Store?
Mac OS X Mountain Lion (version 10.8) is the nineth major release of Mac OS X (now named macOS), Apple’s desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. OS X Mountain Lion brings a lot of great things from iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to the Mac. You can send iMessages. Get your Mac in on Game Center. Receive notifications. The ’System Type’ of your copy of Windows needs to be 64-bit, because Mac OS X Lion is a 64-bit operating system. If you have a 32-bit copy of Windows, you can only install Mac OS X Snow Leopard on Virtualbox. You will need at least 4 GB of RAM and a dual-core (two core) processor or better. Personally, the computer I was using for this had a 4. Lion free download - Mountain Lion Cache Cleaner, Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 Supplemental Update, Lion Designer, and many more programs. If it’s Mac OS X 10.7 Lion that you are after, it’s available for £19.99 here US or here UK. Apple will send you a download code to use on the Mac App Store, so you will need to be running.1. When you see the utilities window, you have started up from macOS Recovery.2. Decide whether to erase (format) your disk
You probably don’t need to erase, unless you’re selling, trading in, or giving away your Mac, or you have an issue that requires you to erase. If you need to erase before installing macOS, select Disk Utility from the Utilities window, then click Continue. Learn more about when and how to erase.3. Install macOS
When you’re ready to reinstall macOS, choose Reinstall macOS from the Utilities window. Then click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions. You will be asked to choose a disk on which to install.
*If the installer asks to unlock your disk, enter the password you use to log in to your Mac.
*If the installer doesn’t see your disk, or it says that it can’t install on your computer or volume, you might need to erase your disk first.
*If the installer is for a different version of macOS than you expected, learn about macOS Recovery exceptions.
*If the installer offers you the choice between installing on Macintosh HD or Macintosh HD - Data, choose Macintosh HD.
Please allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid. During installation, your Mac might restart and show a progress bar several times, and the screen might be empty for minutes at a time.
If your Mac restarts to a setup assistant, but you’re selling, trading in, or giving away your Mac, press Command-Q to quit the assistant without completing setup. Then click Shut Down. When the new owner starts up the Mac, they can use their own information to complete setup.macOS Recovery exceptions
The version of macOS offered by macOS Recovery might vary in some cases:
*If macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later has never been installed on this Mac, Option-Command-R installs the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available. And Shift-Option-Command-R isn’t available.
*If you erased your entire disk instead of just the startup volume on that disk, macOS Recovery might offer only the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available. You can upgrade to a later version afterward.
*If your Mac has the Apple T2 Security Chip and you never installed a macOS update, Option-Command-R installs the latest macOS that was installed on your Mac.
*If you just had your Mac logic board replaced during a repair, macOS Recovery might offer only the latest macOS that is compatible with your Mac.
If you can’t get macOS Recovery to offer the installer you want, you might be able to use one of the other ways to install macOS.Other ways to install macOS
*You can also install macOS from the App Store or Software Update preferences. If you can’t install macOS Catalina, you might be able to install an earlier macOS, such as macOS Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, or Yosemite.
*Or create a bootable installer disk, then use that disk to install macOS on your Mac or another Mac.
TextEdit is a Mac OS X based open sourceword processor and text editor which comes installed with Mac distributions. TextEdit was a replacement for the old text SimpleText application and is also used with Unix and Linux operating systems.
Mac OS X Lion TextEdit for Windows is a Mac style text editor for Windows which is designed to be an alternative to the Windows default Notepad program. Lion TextEdit is a portable software which aims to completely replicate the appearance of Mac TextEdit. Such attempts are nothing new as I previously reviewed PhotoBooth andJumpPad (Which is a Launchpad style application launcher for Windows).Get Os X Lion For Mac 10.8
Lion TextEdit provides complete functionality of a good text editor and also provides some additional features such as the capability of rolling windows and changing the interface skin.
You can roll a window by clicking on the arrow like icon located at the top right corner of TextEdit interface. Such an option can be useful for temporarily rolling out the text editor rather than minimizing it. Clicking on the arrow once more maximizes the text editor once more.
The interface skin can be changed by right-clicking on the toolbar and selecting the skin name i.e. Default or Brushed.
The Brushed skin provides larger buttons for the toolbar with more obvious icons to identify each function of the text editor. TextEdit for Windows, does not require any installation on a system and you can launch multiple instances of it. This makes it quite a handy Notepad alternative with stylish skins and window rolling feature, with more feature to come in upcoming versions.
The developer has ensured of making more changes to make this text editor even better. Make sure you provide him with your valuable insight so that he may be able to improve this application further for making it equivalent or better than the default Mac OS X TextEdit program.
Mac OS X Lion TextEdit for Windows can be used with
*Windows XP
*Windows Vista
*Windows 7Mac Os X Lion Iso
(Post Update: This application has been removed by the developer so we have hosted it on our own server).
